Just got through reading a free ebook that I found while scrummaging around. As soon as I thought it was free, I figured, what the hell. Why not, I’ll give it a read. Whilst the signup to get it was pretty standard marketing, ’sign up to get the free ebook’ type of stuff, I was surprised to see a 2nd tier little operation going on with it. Its something that Id read about not only the other day. And to me made a lot of sense.
Step 1. Free ebook
Step 2. Hit em up for a free upgrade by having friends sign up.
Step 3. Offer a 3rd tier that is paid for, for even more information.
Add into the mix an affiliate program, and its a pretty bright way of marketing a non physical product. Almost more of a membership system.
Anywho, I gave it a read, and it has some good stuff in there, even a whitehat could learn a thing or two from it. Adsense positioning, Foreign languages, Synonymizing, Cloaking, Doorways, Mass Building Techniques, Keyword Research, and a lot more i cant remember right now.
Whilst Ive always had the ideal that this sort of stuff, ’should not’ be presented to the masses, those that are smart enough to work it out for themselves should benefit from the techniques, I do see an opportunity to monetise the curiosity.
I also figure, hey its not my freekin internet.
